Our Beginnings
St. John Lutheran Church dates back to
1919 when the Word was sown throughout the
San Juan area by Mrs. L. C. Mellenbruch.
The first confirmation of adult members on
November 16, 1924 denotes our official
beginnings as a congregation.  10 adults
and   3 youth were confirmed that day.  3
more were confirmed the following Sunday.
